After studying the map the decision was made to start the day by visiting Great Yarmouth. In all the years we’d holidayed in Norfolk it was somewhere we had never been before. We drove along the A47 where we passed this windmill …
and then down the side of the harbour, parking up by Nelson’s Monument …
The beach was dog-friendly and so Hamish enjoyed a long romp on the sand …
We then drove along the coast road through Caister and Winterton-on-Sea, stopping at West Somerton for lunch …
I was joined by this mum and babe who fancied my sandwich …
We then drove over Acle Bridge …
on the way to one of our favourite places – Ranworth Staithe …
where we watched these yachts arrive and moor up …
