Packing Up Time

I was woken this morning at about 5 o’clock by something making a racket outside.  When I got up at 7 o’clock I looked to see what it was and this was the very noisy guilty party …

We’d done a load of packing last night so it was just a case of filling a trolley and putting it all in the cars along with the dogs …

After sorting out a lovely refund on fuel – we’d only used 32 litres – we drove to Ludham Bridge for the traditional final morning breakfast in the Wayfarers Cafe.

We said goodbye to Jamie and Phill and set off for Ash Vale where once again I’d stay the night at Simon’s and drive home to Cornwall in the morning.

Wayford Bridge to Thurne Dyke

We woke to a warm but overcast morning.  I took Hamish for his morning stroll…

IMG_0700IMG_0703IMG_0704IMG_0705IMG_0706IMG_0710IMG_0711

After another bacon and pancake breakfast we left our mooring and went under the bridge.  This is a first!  We didn’t go far as we’d heard it was very narrow so we turned around at the junction …

We popped into the shop and then walked a mile to Glebe Farm where we’d arranged to meet Nick Wiggins to discuss him taking on the restoration of Crocus.  Another mile walk back and both Hamish and I were shattered!  Steve and Lisa appeared to hear all about our chat with Nick – it was them who’d suggested him.
