Ludham Bridge to Wayford Bridge

It was a misty start this morning but after a fry-up for breakfast and a fill with water, we left just after ten o’clock in sunshine.  We noticed new electric hook-up at Irstead but didn’t stop as we were making for Neatishead …

We filled with water while Simon and Phill went shopping then set off and it was still only 9.20am.  Thatchers were already hard at work and there were babies walking about with their parents …

Horning to Wroxham

We were up at 6.45am as we had to leave by 7.30am in the hopes that we’d get through Wroxham bridge on the early low tide.  Managed to get a couple of photos before we left and were on the move by 7.20am.

IMG_0525IMG_0527IMG_0528IMG_0539IMG_0540IMG_0541

We arrived at the bridge at 8.30am and Dave the pilot took us through …

IMG_0544IMG_0546IMG_0547IMG_0548

He moored us up on the far side and Jamie emailed some photos of the engine to Herbert Woods.  Simon being a mechanic had noticed we had a leak and we thought it should be checked.  They said it was the first time they’d ever been sent photos of a problem on a boat! We nipped over to Roys and when we got back the engineer was waiting for us.

He set to work and replaced the fuel return rail on top of the injectors then we moved over to the other side of the river to fill with water before leaving for Coltishall.  Hamish was obviously thoroughly bored by our slow progress …

We arrived and moored at Coltishall …

IMG_0555IMG_0556IMG_0557

After a walk to the Rising Sun for a drink and some chips we returned to the boat for lunch.  We didn’t stay too long as we wanted to make sure of a mooring with electric for tonight at Wroxham.  Once moored I took Hamish for a walk …
